Hurrah, first day of leave and the planning for the three month European Holiday can start in Ernest. Even though the departure date is not till 19th of May lots of thing needs to be addressed and sorted out so that we do not
have any surprises when one comes back. Bills need to be sorted out, car registration which is due will have to be prepaid, etc. we have been fortunate to have a very nice neighbour who has kindly offered to look after out dog
called” Boe”. As we are sharing a duplex it was easy to get him excess to her backyard by removing a few timber boards and he is getting used to her yard. Gym Membership and Travel insurance has been sorted out, International
license organized and a more challenging task it to take the right and enough cloth for the long journey as we are traveling through England –Scotland, Belgium, Germany, Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy Creek Island and fly back
via Dubai. However we are allowed to take 30kg per person this should give us room to carry few extra cloths. Counting down the days. Eight days to go before heading to the airport and still a few more things the tidy up.  Counting down with three more sleeps and besides sorting out to take we can start packing. A final check of the itinerary has been completed including any visas requirement and all is going well. Just need to pre book seats 24 hours before Departures which will assist with the checking in. Should reduce waiting time and queuing up. Emirates Aircraft type is Airbus 3800 800 and look forward to the flights as we had not been on an A 380 before.

It is now Saturday morning 19th of May and an only few hours to go before heading off to the Airport. Booked the seats last night sitting in Row 70 A and 70 B. Flight Emirates EK 413 departing at 21.10 (9.10 pm) arriving Sunday morning at (05.40 5.40) am. Airbus 380 800.  Checked the temperature in Dubai for Sunday morning and it predicted to be in the mid 30th. Lucky we don’t have to leave the aiport. After four hours waiting time will had off to London on a Boeing 777 800 seats booked already row 28a and 28B. All indoor plant are being transferred to Jenny our Neighbour who has offered to look after them. Final bits and pieces are being packed; Fridge defrosted and switched of as well as the hot water and the mains water supply.  Car and Garage doors all locked. We will get picked up at 5PM and then it is off for the 10 weeks.
